Q: What type of video cameras do you use?
A: All video footage is recorded using Panasonic AG-DVX100A 24P digital camcorders utilizing 1/3" 3CCD sensors to pick up outstanding color and picture clarity. The end result is video footage comparable to broadcast quality.
Q: How do you record audio during the wedding ceremony?
A: Typically we position one wireless lavalier on the officiator and one wireless lavalier on the groom. If the venue permits, we will also take a direct feed from a house sound board. We also record ambient sound (organ, acoustics, audience) through the use of a matched pair of stereo condenser microphones.
Q: Do you use multiple video cameras?
A: Yes, packages include your choice of one, two, three, or four video cameras at the ceremony. All video cameras are controlled directly by a camera operator (we don't use "un-manned cameras").
Q: Do you record the bride and groom's voice during the ceremony?
A: Yes, typically we position one wireless lavalier on the groom's lapel to pick up the bride and groom's voice. However, in most cases we only record the bride and groom's voice during the exchange of vows and rings. During the remainder of the ceremony (i.e. lighting of the unity candle, sermon, etc.), the microphone is muted. If you have a preference for us to do otherwise, we will be happy to assist you.
Q: How long after the wedding does it take to receive the finished product on DVD or VHS?
A: Usually within 10-14 days after the wedding you will receive the finished product.
Q: What types of payment do you accept?
A: We accept cash, personal checks, and credit card payments (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). For credit card payments, we require the full remaining balance (minus any existing payments) to be paid in a single transaction.
Q: When is payment due for Wedding Videography?
A: We require a $100.00 deposit (along with any transportation fees) to reserve your wedding date. The remainder of the balance is due in full on or prior to your wedding date. You can make payments towards the balance in any amount and frequency. There is a 15 day grace period that begins immediately after your wedding date before any late fees are charged. If the remaining balance isn't paid in full within the 15 day grace period, late fees will be assessed as outlined in the
Wedding Videography Service Level Agreement. To avoid paying late fees, be sure to pay off your balance in full on or prior to your wedding date (or within the 15 day grace period). Also note that if we do not receive payment in full on or prior to your wedding date, The Production Haus is not obligated in any way to perform the actual service.
Q: How much time do you spend at reception?
A: Four hours are included in the reception coverage. If you need additional coverage beyond four hours, the rate is $75/hour (per camera).
Q: Are you willing to comply with policies or guidelines for venues such as churches and country clubs?
A: Yes, The Production Haus is always willing to cooperate with any policies or guidelines for any venues as specified. We will work closely with your wedding coordinator or on-site venue contact to ensure proper use of facilities. We are very conservative in our work to avoid distractions; our goal is to be invisible as possible.
Q: Can I get raw footage from the reception?
A: Yes, we can provide you with the raw footage from the reception on DVD for an additional $25.
Q: Can I view a sample of your work?
A: Yes, you can view samples of our work by visiting our
Screening Room. Visit our
Wedding Videography service page for more information.
Q: How long is the edited reception coverage?
A: The edited reception highlights can vary significantly from wedding to wedding as each is very unique. However, in most cases the edited highlights account for about 1/4 to 1/6 of the actual reception length. For example, if the reception is a total of 4 hours long, the edited highlights might range from 40 minutes to 60 minutes in length.
Q: Once I book your services for Wedding Videography and send the $100.00 deposit, if I change my mind, can I get a refund?
A: The $100.00 deposit is designed to reduce unexpected cancellations through a mutual commitment. Thus, the $100.00 deposit is non-refundable.
Q: Do you have a contract of some sort for Wedding Videography service?
A: Yes, we have a Wedding Videography Service Level Agreement that defines the basic responsibilities and obligations of both The Production Haus and the client ("you"). The
Wedding Videography Service Level Agreement is posted online for your review.
Q: Is there a transportation fee for Wedding Videography service?
A: Yes, for any destination that exceeds 25 miles from our Alpharetta location, mileage will be charged at $0.59 per mile. For example, if the ceremony is at a venue 30 miles from our facility, a $35.40 transportation fee will be charged. Any destination under 25 miles from our facility incurs no transportation charge. Please note that transportation fees are due in full along with the $100 deposit in order to officially reserve your wedding date.
Q: Do you travel out-of-state or to other locations outside of metro Atlanta?
A: Yes, in most cases we are willing to travel out-of-state or outside metro Atlanta for Wedding Videography service. However, the normal transportation fee applies (see the previous question) along with any expenses due to necessary accommodations (hotel, meals, etc.). Please contact us for more details.
Q: How early do you arrive at the Ceremony?
A: In most cases we arrive at the ceremony approximately 60-90 minutes prior to the ceremony start time.
Q: Can I choose my own music for the DVD?
A: Normally, we discretely choose music selections for the DVD based upon the music at the wedding ceremony and reception. However, if you have a few tunes in mind that you'd like us to use, feel free to pass them along, and we'll do our best to incorporate them. It is not necessary to provide us with the music tracks as most of the tunes are already in our library.
